Who Stole the Cookie FRom The COOkie Pot?

I came across this easy to do recipe from one of the fellow bloggers. So happens that I have all the ingredients and so decided to bake it. It's classic chocolate chip cookies! Recipe extracted from "Happy Home Baking" as follow:

Ingredients
(makes about 24 cookies)

115g butter, softened
115g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
175g plain flour
175g plain or semisweet chocolate chips

Method
1.Preheat oven to 180degC. Line baking trays with parchment paper.
2.With a wooden spoon or electric mixer, cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until the mixture turns pale and fluffy.
3.Beat in the egg gradually. Mix well after each addition. Add in vanilla extract, mix well.
4.Sift the flour over the mixture, fold in with wooden spoon or a spatula. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5.Drop tablespoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking tray. Leave some space between the cookies to allow for spreading. Flatten each cookie dough slightly with the back of a fork, keeping the shape as even as possible.
6.Bake for 10 mins or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

It is really easy to do, but personally would have prefer the cookies to be smaller in size.. probably i will use half a tablespoon for my next bake.. would also love to try out the taste by adding in some hazelnut as I think the sweetness will be mellow down with the addition.. Hope all of you reading can find time to try out this recipe.. =)

OuR WeDDInG AnnIvesaRY

I have no adequate description of how fast time passes.. it is even faster than "blink of an eye". 14 March marks our wedding annivesary. Truthfully, I have not really tasted the feeling of living together as husband and wife till we move to our new house.. where there is only hubby and me. This is when the real marriage beginss...

Most times, we really enjoy each other's company, this is not questionable since we are in love with each other enough to get married. When we live together other feelings starts to come into the picture.. like irritating, sad, anger and unhappiness. These feelings come a little at a time. Such emotions triggers series of quarrels. Usually is the different living lifestyle. 1 simple example: I like things to be done immediate like washing dishes..as I dread the pests swamming in after leftovers .. and hubby on the other hand likes to take his own sweet time..

For this 1 year of marriage.. I learnt a very important skill.. that is to communicate. This is really so important.. Hubby and I may not be the pro at it.. but we try.. he try.. I hope i had improved as a better woman, wife, daughter and friend to him. As I am proud to say he is improving slowly..into a better man, hubby, son and friend to me. Now he does the dishes right after we finish the meal... =)

To Hubby:

Thank you for all the things you have done, things you are learning to do and hopefully things you will eventually pick up to do.. It is not easy living together, there maybe times when we give each other the worst attitude, most hurtful words and petty arguements. But I am very sure that if we were to count the happy moments and bleak moments.. Happy moments is always more. Really hope our love for each other can water .. Passion can fertilize .. this marriage/union of ours to bloom and blossom. Thank you and I Love You!

Here are some pics of our little celebration... =)

Flea Affair @ China SQ Central & SIs's AdV BdaE CeleBRAtion

First weekend of March is fully planned with baking, celebration and money-making FLEA Affair! Really tired but fulfilling.. =)

On Saturday I stayed home all day to finish my weekly chores of mopping the floor and laundry and then I moved on to bake a cake for my dear sis. So happens that her bdae this year falls on a weekday and so I decided to bake her a cake in advance since i would not have the time on weekdays..

For those who followed my blog from start will know that I love strawberry shortcake and had attempted one for my bro's bdae last year.. and so being a fair big sista, I bake a strawberry shortcake for my dear lil' sis this year! wahaha.. (Excuse!)

With that, I lazed for the rest of my Saturday.. =)

On the following day, Hubby and I woke up early and start to set off to my Mother's house to pick my bro and sis for our long awaited Flea Market! Brought the cake along as we plan to cut it after dinner that day.. All was in a rush as we were late for the start up time and most importantly, hubby had to rush off to his MAGIC Competition ..
After much fluster, out stall was setted up at around 10.30am and Bro's GF, WX, joined in jus in time.. This time round we are located on 1st floor of the building where the entrance is. Good thing about this location is the good flow of crowd. The downside is the air-con keeps on escaping when the auto door open and closes.. ended up we were feeling quite hot. Also unlike the previous location, we do not have that much of free space to ourselves .. very cramp..But with all these downside were all covered up with our nett profit of the day of 200+ dollars!

My second Uncle family came and support, and with the kids around we had even more fun and rubbish to talk about!. Hubby's sis JY and Best pal JP(BB in Stomach) and HSM also dropped by to support! This is also my first time to meet a bad customer.. She picked out $40 worth of items and say that she will come back with the money to collect the items as she was meeting her fren. We kept her things and she never return. Till 1 hr before we wrapped up, we finally release all these items for sales again.. Lucky we were still able to sell off these stuffs to the last minute Filipino Maid Crowd. Lesson Learnt!

I also bought a pair of very cute soft toy donkeys at a ultra good price from another flea stall.. cute?

My parents and Hubby came and we all went for a nice dinner at a Teochew restaurent and headed back to my mum's house to cut the cake. Find the sponge still too dense. Intend to add in some ovalette for my next bake.. Till then.. here are the pics for my flea and sis's bdae celebration!
